Late 2015. I was working retail at a high-end home goods store in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On a break one day, I was on my phone looking for something online — found it on one platform, then had to jump to a completely different site just to look at something else entirely.
That's when it hit me: why isn't there just one platform where people can find whatever they need — any product, any service — instead of hopping between a dozen different apps and sites?
That question became TOL.
TOL stands for The One Library.
The One — because that's the whole idea: the one place, the one answer, the only thing you actually need to open.
Library — because a library was never just one book. It's a shelf of many different collections, each organized under one roof, so whatever you're looking for already has a home inside it.
And in Filipino slang, "Tol" is short for utol — brother. The friend who's always there when you need something. That's the platform TOL is built to be.
One platform for products and services that people can actually use — built for both sides of the transaction. TOL is a B2B and B2C platform: a place where businesses can reach customers, and where customers can find whatever they're looking for, all in one library.
TOL isn't outsourced — I build it myself, through the complete product lifecycle: from idea, to building it, to shipping it, to improving it once real people are actually using it. Technology keeps changing, so I keep learning what's new and adapting TOL to it, rather than standing still.
